There’s cute and then there’s sooooo cute — consider this endangered southern pudu, the world’s smallest deer, that was born at the Queen Zoo.
The fawn was just one pound when it was born on May 3, and should only reach 20 pounds and about 12 to 14 inches at the shoulder in adulthood, zoo officials said.
These deer bark when there’s trouble in their midst, can scamper away from predators — and melt hearts of visitors.
The endangered species, pudu puda, is native to Chile and Argentina.
